Boone Hall Plantation

Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens:

Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens, founded in 1681, is one of America's oldest working, living plantations. They have been continuously growing and producing crops for more than three centuries.

The McRae family purchased the plantation in 1955 and it was Mrs. McRae who furnished the house with antiques and began giving tours. Today, the McRae family still owns the property, and they continue to make improvements so that visitors can experience these hallowed grounds.

Their knowledgeable staff will help you understand the day-to-day activities of those who lived on the plantation. You'll visit the house, grounds, gardens, and historic out buildings.
